Living With Independence

Supported Independent Living is a type of support designed to assist individuals with disabilities or special needs to live as independently as possible in their own homes or in a range of accommodation options. SIL focuses on providing the necessary support and accommodations to enable participants to lead a self-directed and autonomous lifestyle, while also ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their life to the fullest, regardless of their disability. Our SIL services are built on the principles of choice, control, and individualised support. We work closely with participants, their families, and support networks to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters independence and personal growt

Key Features of SIL:

Customised Support

We understand that each participant has unique needs and goals. Our experienced team collaborates closely with participants to develop personalised support plans that reflect their preferences, aspirations, and level of independence. We strive to empower participants to make choices and take control of their lives.

Shared Living Arrangements

SIL typically involves participants living in a shared home environment with other like-minded individuals. This arrangement offers opportunities for social interaction, companionship, and community engagement. We carefully match participants based on compatibility, ensuring a supportive and inclusive living environment

24 Hour Support

Our dedicated support staff is available round the clock to provide assistance and guidance as needed. From daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, to accessing community resources and managing health needs, we are committed to delivering comprehensive support services tailored to individual requirements

Skills Development

We believe in equipping participants with the skills necessary to live independently. Our SIL program includes skill-building activities that focus on enhancing areas such as household management, budgeting, communication, self-advocacy, and community integration. We aim to promote self-confidence and empower participants to achieve their personal goals.
